LM3559: LED strobe light function driver via 2x LED channels

Part Number: LM3559

Hi,

I'm setting up LM3559 for strobe function with LED connected to LED1 with load at 110mA & the current consumption measured on LM3559 matched the load. On my next setup I've connected LED1 & LED2 to a single strobe LED with current setting set at 55mA respectively for both channels in order to obtain 110mA total current from both channels. However upon validation seems that current consumption did not went up to 110mA but instead consuming approximately 70mA.

Does this means that it's more power efficient to drive a single LED for strobe function in such manner or are there any additional details which I might've missed out?
