Battery Charger for 24 NiCd Cells

Good Morning,

I would like to design a battery charge manager for 24 NiCd cells in series, because I need a 28 Volts source (24x1.2V). However, I not found a BQ2000 series device wich meets my needs. If you could please suggest some components, or combinations of multiple components that would halp me achieve this it would be greatly appreciated.

Currently, I use a DC power supply directly in the pack of the 24 cells in series. In this way, the voltage goes to 0 to about 35 volts during the charging. I keep the current constant during the charging (100% of the nominal current for the fast charge and 10% for the slow charge). However, I need to monitor the time charge during the process. In this way, I have a power supply of 40 volts for this.

We do not have a NiCd charger that meets your specificaitons.
