Hello

I attached the file for bridgeless PFC schematic using UCC28070.

Could you review the design for UCC28070 schematic file?

For additional inquiries, isn't it need the filter capacitor and pre-charge diode in the bridgeless PFC as shown below schematic?

How do I design if I need a filter capacitor and a pre-charge diode?

    Hello Louis,

    That looks like the power stage for an interleaved PFC stage and not bridgeless.  The UCC28070 will not work for full bridgeless PFC.

    You are correct that you will require a bypass diode that you have circled.  The power stage looks to be correct.

    The way you have the circuit drawn the peak diode current would be (Vpk-Vdiode)/ESR.  To limit the current you may want to add an NTD to the input.

    There is a Webench tool that will do a complete design for you that you find at the following link.  Just scroll down to down or search on Webench.

    Hello,

    I reviewed the schematic and that is an interleaved PFC with a bridge rectifier input.  The tools I had recommended in this thread should help you with this interleaved PFC design.
