UCD90320: Sample

Part Number: UCD90320

Hi,

Can UCD90320 AMON sampling 10 times per second and then tak a average?

  • Hello

The return value of READ_VOUT from UCD90320  is a already average value. The sample rate is 4 samples/400us.

You have to do your own average to get what you want.

  • Hi,

I use machine to measure signal. The same time I, I use Fusion to monitor the signal, But it's not like. And my polling rate is adjust 1ms, can't be smaller.

    PVTT_ABC (max = 2.4V, min = -1.512V, continue 500us)

  • Hello

Negative voltage is not support. The ADC is not continuously sampling and it sample at spots with intervals. So if you want to test the accuracy, you have to have a good signal instead of something like noise.

1ms is the just a theoretical lowest the polling rate from GUI and it may not be actually 1ms which is up to how many signal are polled..

  • Hi,

Can the software(Fusion) and USB interface Adapter both record every data(PVTT_ABC)?

    Save like to *.txt.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The picture below is recorded with BMC.

Now I use Fusion to monitor voltage, and not find wrong voltage, But use BMC to get voltage have wrong voltage. BMC is use comment to get voltage.

  • Hello

First please make sure that BMC interprets the data correct. Please refer section 4 of https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slva385

For the GUI, you can enable the PMBUS data logging(Tools->PMBus logging). the data will be saved into a file.

Please do not forget tot turn off the logging after done to save the HD space.

  • Hi Yihe,

    Line 75059:   13 | 08/02/2020 | 23:18:32 | Voltage P1V2_BMC | Upper Non-critical going high | Asserted | Reading 1.82 > Threshold 1.25 Volts

The read_out have wrong voltage, I confirm the voltage not to 1.82V by using machine(Oscilloscope).

Have some situation cause UCD ADC write register wrong?

  • Hi

if GUI reports correct voltage and your BMC does, you have to check the BMC to make sure that they do the math right.

Please refer the section 4 of https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slva385
