TPS3850-Q1: Difference between 'G' version and 'H' version

Part Number: TPS3850-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3850

Hi team,

When I read TPS3850 datasheet, it has fixed and adjustable variants. And I think 'G' is for fixed version and 'H' is for adjustable version.

But in our datasheet, the 'H' version has many variants as below picture. My thinking is that for the adjustable versions, the internal reference are all 0.4V. So what is the difference among H01,H09, H12.....H50? Thanks.

Best regards,

Wayne

  • Hi Wayne,

For this device, the difference between the G and H versions actually relates to the tolerance of the supervisor. This difference in the nomenclature can be found in Table 8 of the datasheet, or pictured below.

    Thanks,

    Abhinav.

  • Hi Abhinav,

Thanks for the information. A following question: how can we tell between fixed version and adjustable version? Is TPS3850H01 the only one adjustable version device? And all the other p/n is for fixed version device?

My customer wants to use TPS3850H30QDRCRQ1. I think it is a fixed version device and the monitor threshold is 3V±0.21V. Please help confirm if my understanding is correct. Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Wayne

  • Hi Wayne,

The '01' designation is for the adjustable devices (H01Q1). Your understanding is correct for your example.

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.
