I'm hoping to use this part in a new design and have some questions:
1.) What is the difference between the BQ25713 and the BQ25713B?
2.) I understand that you can communicate via 12C to set this unit up. Once set up does it hold the settings, or does it have to be set up every time it is powered? I ask this because if we could set it up initially and it would retain all the settings, we would not have to include the microprocessor in the design.
3.) We need to use 3 series lithium rechargeable batteries to end up with something over 12VDC. Plus we would like to have 8 to 20 Ah capacity (wide range because I'm not sure what we can get reasonably). Input power is 12VDC @ up to 5 amps, Actual load is not defined yet but estimated to be 12VDC at about 2A. Is there anything that you can share with me about how to end up with Medical Safety Approval on this unit?
