Hi,
My customer wants to do varnish treatment for moisture exclusion and isolation.
Is there any problems or limitations to cover TPS65381A after the device is soldered on PCB?
Thanks and regards,
Koichiro Tashiro

Hi Tashiro-san,
In general it has not ever been an issue in the past using a conformal coat on the device. I am checking with our packaging team to determine if there are any specific guidelines on applying conformal coat on HTSSOP packaged with power pad.

Hi Tashiro-san,
Please find below the response from packaging team:
TI’s official position is we don’t recommended any type of conformal coating to customers. Selection of conformal coating is based on product application, manufacturing process and working environment that TI doesn’t control.
Customer should select the material that best fit their condition and application.

Ivan
