BQ77915: Can I stack 5 ICs in series to get 24 cell Battery ?

Hi,

Planning to use BQ7791506 to replace BMS controller ICs in our existing products.

Is there any limitation on number of ICs that we can stack ?

Our present plan is to have 4 cell, 8 cell, 16 cell and 24 cell . That means stacking 5 numbers of BQ7791506 (the sub part that we plan to use).

Is 5 ICs stacking allowed ?

Hi,

There is no technical limitation for the number of devices you can stack. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that there may be a small delay if a device at the top of the stack has a fault.
