TPS54325: Power dissipation

Hi all,

I have a question about the power dissipation of the TPS54325.

The Japanese data sheet states that the power dissipation is 2.25W,

but In the English data sheet, the description is as follows.

What is the allowable loss of Rev.F?

Hi Ishiwata,

The allowable max IC loss is 2.25W.

The thermal table in English version is used to estimate temp and compare with competitor.

Thank you for your reply.
When Tj=125℃, the calculation of power dissipation is different.

Rev.F ΘJA = 55.6℃/W
　P = (125°C-25°C) / (55.6°C/W)
　 = 1.99W

Rev.A Japanese version ΘJA = 44.5℃/W
　P = (125℃-25℃) / (44.5℃/W)
　 = 2.25W

Why is it different from Rev.F and Rev.A (Japanese version)?
Which is 55.6℃/W or 44.5℃/W in ΘJA ?

Hi Ishiwata,

I think these two datasheet may refer to different board/standard, such as board size, copper thickness and layout. These will affect the ΘJA .
