LM3488: boost 58V ~ 194V 0.2A

Hi

Because WEBENCH can’t design
Please help confirm that LM3488 can boost from vin 3.7V to
80V ~ 130V 0.5A
58V ~ 194V 0.2A

    Hello Gareth,

    Do you have a source that can support the power? The maximum you mention above is 65W. Which means an input current of 20A at an efficiency of 85%.

    In addition, the boost factor you have is worst case 52. I think you should use a flyback converter for getting the turns ratio reducing the boost factor.

    Or at least go with a tapped inductor boost.
