BQ25713EVM-017: BQSTUDIO SUPPORT and DOA

Hi Team,

A customer of mine who is evaluating the BQ25713EVM-017 had the following observation:

The BQ25713 seems to be DOA, when we connect 5V to the input, the power LED blinks.

It is constant only at higher voltages (while this board should be able to work with voltages <5V).

Furthermore we don't get communication via BQstudio. We connected the BQ25713 to an EV2400 via SMBUS but get an ACK error on all commands.

Can you please advise how they could resolve these issues?

Only one LED on board, which is driven by a 3.3V LDO. Could you check if the 3.3V is stable?

Hi Tiger,

My customer checked the 3.3V and it is indeed 3.3V as soon as they have enough voltage at the input. However the BQstudio keeps giving ACK errors.

Can you advice how they can resolve this error?

Try to follow the user guide. First Change the target address to “6B”.
