LMZM33606: MSL Peak Temp

Hi,team

In the Datasheet of LMZM33606RLX, MSL Peak Temp is 240C(Level-3-240C-168 HR). and there is a note :The moisture sensitivity level rating according to the JEDEC industory standard classifications, and peak solder temperature.

However, JEDEC standard shows peak temperature is 245C while datasheet is 240C.
My customer thinks the datasheet should be revised. please advise,thank you.

Hi Yanni,

I have taken note of this and will consult the internal team on the specifics on this. So far I can say based on the datasheet specs the device will:

Have a MSL Level 3 floor life of 168 hours before baking is recommended to remove moisture trapped in the part
Peak reflow temperature rated up to 240degC

When I get more information I'll get back to you on this.

Hi Yanni,

The LMZM33606 is currently rated for 240C. The product reliability team is currently working trying to qualify a process improvement to achieve the desired 245C which aligns with JEDEC. We expect to get more information about this sometime in Q4 followed by an informational PCN.

Because of this I will leave the datasheet as is until further notice.
