BQ25606: bq25606 could not charge fast

Dear team,

Customer now use 5V/3A adapter to charge battery through bq25606, full capacity voltage should be 4.2V. But customer measured when Vbat is 3.8V the current will decrease from 1.8A directly, it will need at least 7 hours to charge battery full.

Here is the schematic, I have suggested customer not float OTG, change TS resistor to 10K pullup and 10k to GND. And customer measured the VIN, it will not exceed the maximum power.

Please kindly give some suggestion, thanks.

Please check if STAT pin indicate any faults and debug from there. STAT pin blinks when Charge suspend (input overvoltage, TS fault, timer fault or system overvoltage).

Please also check if the input source is over-loaded, either the current exceeds the input current limit or the VBUS pin voltage falls below the input voltage limit.

The device then reduces the charge current until the input current falls below the input current limit and the input voltage rises above the input voltage limit. Please refer to Extract maximum power from the supply when charging a battery (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slyt569/slyt569.pdf) for the details.
