Hi team,

I installed SPICE for TI 2020 and TPS56637 PSPICE transient model on Ti.com.

I added DC 15 V as an input and R10(20 kΩ),C7(100pF) in Feedback area surrounded by a red frame in the picture

and put probe on Vout, and configured Simulation setting.

I also set the value of "Run to Time": to 3.5 ms and Maximum Step Size to 0.1 ms.

Atfer I push "RUN", I could not get results of the simulation but PSPICE for TI 2020 freezes.

How can I fix this error?

Hi, I only change the power source, it can run normally. will check two other changes tomorrow.

Also, try using a max step size of 20ns. The 0.1ms is way too high and can cause incorrect results.

Also as Yuchang suggested, try using a PWL or Pulse source instead of a DC VIN source. This might be causing convergence issues as well.

Did you use these icons to begin simulations?

and this was my simulation setting.

Is it correct? and how did you change your power source?

I changed my power source as DC 15 V and plugged it into Vin of TPS56637.

Hi Maki,

The button you used are no problem, seems you need set the max step lower than 100ns, then it can run normally.

thank you for your reply.

I tried to change some configurations but still my PSPICE for TI 2020 stops running and causes errors.

I just installed it and started to use.

Are there some problems or common mistakes for beginners when we begin to use PSPICE for TI 2020?

Hi Maki,

I have also checked it on my computer and I am able to run it. So have you tried to run a pspice file downloaded from ti.com without any change?

If there's error when running a pspice file with default setting, maybe there are some errors with your pspice software.
