Hi,

I am using msp430fr2433 for piezo harvesting. The output voltage from harvester is 0 -100V. The harvester provides intermittent power while being bent. Msp430fr2433 provides crucial functions for the system and needs to be powered before DC converter will be able to provide continuous power. I was thinking about using a capacitor with voltage limiter and a switch to power msp430fr2433 momentarily while the power is ramping up and switching to a DC power after DC converter can provide continuous power. I am wondering if there is already a solution available for this task.

Hi Vadim,

the power supply for the MSP430 can be down to 1.8V. i don't think you need to operate system when the output voltage of the piezo is low than 1.8V, considering such wide output voltage range. so i think you need a buck converter instead of boost converter or buck-boost converter
