BQ28Z610-R1: What is the difference between BQ28Z610-R1 and BQ78Z100?

Hi,

Is the HDQ interface feature of the BQ78Z100 the only difference between these two devices? If I only need the I2C Interface which device is recommended?

Hello,

There's a change list on the bq28z610-R1, it's the delta between the bq28z610 and bq28z610-R1.

It's better to compare the TRM register set between the bq28z610 and bq78z100.

Hi Kang Kang,

Thank you for your reply. I did compare the TRMs and could find the following differences:

BQ28Z610-R1 has the following additional main features:

- BROADCAST mode

- Battery Trip Point (BTP) Interrupts

- Emergency FET Shutdown

- Voltage Imbalance

- Update version of State-of-Health

There are some more small differences between these two devices.
