TPS1663: Output capacitor requirements

There are already a couple questions about Cout requirements for the TPS1663, but I have a specific request. My system has a 2200uF electrolytic capacitor connected to Vout, but no ceramic capacitor. Is there any requirement for a ceramic output capacitor, or one located next to the OUT pin?

Thanks for reaching out!

I would recommend to add 1uF ceramic capacitor at the output close to the device to be more effective in limiting the output voltage slew-rates during fast fault events such as hot-short.

In my case, the TPS1663 output is only connected to LEDs and other internal circuitry, there is no user-accessible output or other possibility of a hot-short. Is the 1uF ceramic still required, or recommended?

In such cases, you can relax on that requirement of 1uF ceramic cap.
