TPS62290: PWM_PFM_MODE pin = High, Fixed PWM

Hi,

If we run the regulator at low current it will switch from PWM mode to PFM mode at MODE=low. But what would happen if we maintain the MODE pin= high, and draw very minimal current ? Will the regulator works only PWM mode ? Or will not work at a certain threshold current limit at forced PWM mode?

    Hi Vignesh,

    Pulling the MODE pin high forces the converter to operate in fixed frequency PWM mode even at light load currents but the efficiency is lower compared to the power save mode during light loads. Which means, the device will be in PWM mode independent of the load.
