LP5036: How to mitigate EMI from I2C communication

Part Number: LP5036

Hi there,

I was testing radiated emission for one of my project using LP5036, I found that the emission amplitude at 120MHz was too high that could not meet the requirement.

However, I took out LP5036 from my board and test again, the result could meet the requirement.

Is there any external circuit suggestion on improving the EMI performance on I2C communication?

Thanks!

  • Hi, guy,

Here are a few ideas about reducing EMI. I hope it helps.

    1. Reasonable layout and routing of PCB.
    2. Minimize the loop area of I2C.
    3. Separate digital ground, analog ground, and noise ground, and determine a suitable common ground point.
    4. Add a small capacitor in parallel with the I2C pin

    Best Regards
