I need to determine what type of outrush current the battery might experience when it is connected to a system using the bq25601. I assume the worst case would be when a battery is inserted but there is no source voltage on VBUS. The charger will power up and the BATFET will turn on using battery current.
Certainly there will be inrush current to system capacitors on the BAT pin (10 uF), and current to charge caps on the VSYS output, but what happens within the bq25601?
Does current jump to the applicable Iq levels, or are there any current spikes (like charging up FET gates) ?
Does the BATFET have any type of softstart to control the VSYS inrush current?
