BQ33100EVM-001: design consideration

Hi team,

My customer wants to duplicate the EVM design and looks for alternatives for external components. Could you please comment on the following questions? Thanks for your support!

- Can the following materials be substituted?

Q4 & Q5_Si1023X => Si2301CDS

Q6_Si4435DDY => FDMC4435BZ

Q9_BSS223PW => Si2301CDS

-  Could you provide the selection rules for alternative materials

Q7_2SD1758TLR => 

Q8_ZXMN3A14FTA =>

  • Hello Sam,

    The ZXMN3A14FTA is still an active part, I would recommend using the same components as the EVM unless your application specifications are outside of the EVM ratings, then it depends on your application. If the parts are discontinued any component with similar characteristics can be substituted. From reviewing some of the parts suggested they have similar characteristics and should operate fine with the BQ33100.

    If the FETs have similar turn on voltage and the BJT has similar gain and current requirements the component can be substituted.
