BQ25898D: I want a 2.5V to 5V (5.2V) @ 1A Booster circuit along with Charging the cell with 5V supply @1.5A - 2A (Battery Protection and SoC)

I am looking for an IC with the following features

switch-mode single battery charge management and system Power Path management device for Li-Ion and Li-polymer battery

boost the battery voltage from 2.5V (typical) to 4.6 V - 5.15 V at 1A output current (highest efficiency)

safety features for battery charging and system operations

info about battery status (voltage and current)

control interface - Standalone (RC-Settable) and not just i2c

The BQ25898D IC looks good according to me. Any other better IC for this application?

Hi,

The BQ25898D may not be able to support boost mode when VBAT is 2.5V typical.

It should be as long as all the conditions described in 9.2.5 Boost Mode Operation from Battery are met.
