WEBENCH® Tools/LM5121: Output power up to 240W?

Dear team,

I have a question about LM5121. Can LM5121 work with output power up to 240W ?

I'm worried it won't work.

Specifications:

Input : 10-30V

Output : 40V, 6A

Desing by : WEBBENCH tools

Hi Michael,

Thank you for posting. Why don't you believe it won't? Its sister part LM5122 has a reference design at 200W. The LM5121 has the same MOSEFET drivers. So, 240W is reachable, but you may consider to use parallel MOSFETs as in the PMP20093 . If you wish, you may add a discrete external driver for the low side FET(s).

Hi Youhao,

Thank you very much for the reply, i was worried because i came across a similar circuit with a power of around 50W.So I'll try this scheme and if there is a problem, I'll write to you.
