Hi Team,

I had a question about the PGOOD pin operation of LM5164.

Following is the requirement:-

If the DC-DC output voltage is greater than 110% of rated output or less than 90% of rated output, then the ECU shall be notified.

Can this requirement be fulfilled via PGOOD pin?

The block diagram shows that the PGOOD pin comparator compares its value to 90% of FB value. What about 110%?

When the FB voltage exceeds 95% of the internal reference VREF, the internal PGOOD switch turns off and PGOOD can be pulled high by the external pullup. If the FB voltage falls below 90% of VREF, an internal 25-Ω PGOOD switch turns on and PGOOD is pulled low to indicate that the output voltage is out of regulation.
