BQ25601: -10'C ~ 0'C couldn't charging & couldn't charging to 100% at high temperature(>40)

Part Number: BQ25601

Hi Team,

My customer now is using BQ25601 and reported an critical issue:  -10'C ~ 0'C couldn't charging & couldn't charging to 100% at high temperature(>40),  could you kindly help to give comments?

-- if the battery want to charging to full(100%) among the temperature range(-10'C ~ 45'C), could you kindly share your comments on how to configure the TS connected schematic? or should there are external schematic requirement or register configuration?

-- As JEITA requirement,  how to configure TS pin external resister to achieve -10'C ~ 45'C  charging to full(100%)?

The schematic shown as below figure:

  • Hi,

For RT1 and RT2 calculation tool, please refer to http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/slurax7. Although it was developed for the BQ2589x, the principle is similar and can be used for BQ25601. Please plug in the thermistor information for the specified temperatures accordingly.

The charger provides flexible voltage/current settings beyond the JEITA requirement. The voltage setting at warm temperature (T3-T5) can be VREG or 4.1V (configured by JEITA_VSET). The current setting at cool temperature (T1-T2) can be further reduced to 20% of fast charge current (JEITA_ISET).
