Hi Team,
In Schematic of TPS92682EVM-069, the R5 is a 0805 package and only 0.125w, but the output power of this chip is 100W. Should this resistor be removed?

Hi Tom,
R5 is used for high frequencies filtering of VIN to our part and we recommended that's why it's in the schematic.
Thanks Tuan
Hi Tuan,
Thank you for your reply.
According to the "Table 3. TPS92682EVM Performance Specifications", the Maximum Input Current is 10A which will pass through R5, so the power of R5 is obviously insufficient.

Hi Tom,
That input current on table 3 is the input current for Vin which include the power stage of L1 ect. R5 is the resistor that goes to VIN of the TPS92682 only that current is a lot lower.
Thanks Tuan
