Hello,

I'm using BQ27542 for a battery that connects to the raspberry pi and i can get data from the bq27542 via i2c. I haven't used bqstudio to design parameters for my battery values.

Could you please tell me how to set design parameters without using BQStudio?

When the battery is full, state of charge shows more than 100% and when it shows %1, it can be used 2+ hours (reduces to %1 from %100 in quick time).

1-) After some research we realized that we needed BQstudio and EV2400. Do you confirm this?

I saw an answer like this in the forum. It's about that we can use the BQ27421 without EV2400 and BQstudio.

BUT, I also watched a video of you and you are doing this with EV2400 and BQstudio.

Hello Mehmet,

I would look at an MSP430. The one used in the EV2400 is MSP430F5529.

I didn't ask what's inside the EV2400.

I am using BQ27542-G1 and realized that it requires EV2400 and BQStudio.

So, is there a TI chip that I can do to monitor the battery without using EV2400 and BQStudio. I'm looking for the answer.

There are 2 different answers for BQ27421 in the previous post. Can you please reread what I wrote?

No, you will need both EV2400 and bqStudio to evaluate the bq27421.
