How is the shutdown functionality affected if the discharge fet is controlled by another device?

    Hi Antonio,

    I would not recommend using this configuration. There are many protection and recovery algorithms used by the BQ40Z80 device and if it does not have control of the DSG FET, I am not sure if that could cause any unexpected issues. 

    The device should still be able to go into Shutdown, but since it would not be able to control the DSG FET, this FET would need to be disabled by the other device before initiating Shutdown.
