Hello All,

I have used efuse TPS259827ONRGET in my project for protecting the sensor power from short circuit.

But i have facing an issue with the efuse (TPS259827ONRGET).

My requirement is, whenever short circuit is happens the efuse should shut off in (Latch -off Mode). It should not retry.

But in my case, While I made short circuit the efuse gets retried and turned on and it didn't shut off.

Here I am attaching the schematic section for your reference.

kindly let me know your valuable comments.

Note :  Itimer is Open (C118 is removed).

    Hi Mohamed Sidiq,

    The device should turn OFF to a Circuit Breaker Fault when the RETRY_DLY pin is shorted to GND. 

    • Can you re-confirm if the RETRY_DLY is properly connected to GND
    • Can you share the following waveform captures when the device retries after an output short circuit ?
      • VIN, VOUT, ITIMER, RETRY_DLY
      • VIN, IIN, ITIMER, RETRY_DLY
