Dear Team,

For BQ779xx, OCDP resistor value need to finalize for 30Sec. delay. in datasheet it is not mentioned above 1.4Sec. delay.

1. How we can select resistor for 30Sec delay? or what is value of resistor for 30Sec. delay.

2. What is maximum delay we can set and what is value of that resistor and related formula to calculate resistor value?

Hi Devayani,

A 30s OCD delay may be a safety hazard. That is quite a long time for the current to keep increasing into very dangerous ranges. I would not recommend it.

If you still wish to proceed, I assume you could follow the trend in the datasheet. A larger resistor will result in a longer delay. We listed values up to 1.4s because we believed that would be an acceptable range.
