TPS53353: EN spec of TPS53353

Part Number: TPS53353

Hi team,

My customer is using the TPS53353 now.  Currently we meet several questions below want to check with you.

1. Whether the 1.8v 0.6v mean, if the EN higher than 1.8v all devices can be enabled. if the EN lower than 0.6v all devices can be disabled.

2) What's the Hysteresis of the enable? My customer's system EN signal will back up after turn off, whether it will trigger the second turn on?(0.775v->1.226v)

Thanks.

  • Hi Frank,

You're interpretation of the EN pin spec is correct. Forcing <0.6V disables all devices and forcing >1.8V enables all devices.

I've checked the data we have and the actual typical enable thresholds are 1.3V rising and 0.9V falling. Spiking up to 1.226V is very close to enabling the device again. I've taken a closer at the distribution of the data and it is possible that going up to 1.226V will enable some devices again. I recommend keeping the spike below 1.16V to avoid re-enabling the device.
