Hi,

if we set JEITA_VSET=0, the charge voltage will be set to VREG-200mV when temperature is above 45C.

What if the temperature decreases below 45C?

Will the charge voltage restore to VREG at this charge cycle, or it will not restore to VREG until the next charge cycle?

Hi,

Referring to 9.2.7.5.1 JEITA Guideline Compliance in Charge Mode, the voltage setting at warm temperature (T3–T5) can be 200 mV below charge voltage (JEITA_VSET=0). For T3 and lower temperature, the normal charge voltage limit VREG applies. VREG depends on the real-time REG06[7:2] setting during the charge cycle.

I’m asking during one charge cycle, the temperature decrease from above T3 to below T3, will the charge voltage change from Vreg-200mV to Vreg at the instance the temperature cross T3 boundary?

Hi,

Referring to Figure 17. Charging Values, the charge voltage will change back to VREG when the temperature drops below T3.

I've confirmed that it will happen at the instance and do not have to wait to the next charge cycle.
