Hi,

I want to charge 2 Lithium 18650 batteries with BQ25703A EVM and EV2400. I can set charge current limit, charge voltage limit and read charge status. I want to see the battery health while charging. Are there any register that shows health battery?

Besides, while charging 2 batteries in series, if I chose to charge one battery which remained 27% and the other one had 85%, the charge controller stopped charging when the 85% one is fully charged. But I want both battery fully charged. Can you suggest any solutions for this situation?

Hi Thu,

The charger IC would not take care of measuring SoC of battery, and can only read the measured battery voltage through ADCVSYSVBAT Register. SoC measurement would be handled by the gauge in the system. For cells in series, the gauge will also be able to handle cell balancing for cells in series. Thank you. I have ordered MAX17263 EV Kit, is this one of the gauge products that should do the works you mentioned above?
