Hi Expert,

Customer used TPS7B6933 and would like to have 15mA current limit. They implement like below but found out the trip point is about 70mA far away than expected and this also trip thermal protection. Do you have any idea what might be possible causes or suggest other way to implement the current limit? Thanks.

LDO: TPS7B6933QDBVRQ1

PNP BJT:DIODES MMBTA56-7-F

R: 120Kohm

Vin: 24V

Vout: 3.3V

    Hi Allan,

    The current limit is set internally, so it is not possible to set the current limit like this for TPS7B69-Q1. The customer may want to use TPS7B7702-Q1, which has a programmable current limiting functionality like they are trying to achieve here.
