Hi Team
Hope all are fine
I m using TPS562201 buck converter for 8.4V to 3.3V conversion .
Load current is 70mA max
I m controlling ENABLE pin via pushbutton ON/OFF controller ic
Now I faced an issue .Two times IC enable pin got damaged .

Hi,
What's your Min and Max voltage for TPS562201 EN pin ? Could you help check the waveform with scope ?

Hi Sands,
Pushbutton is mechanical switch. it will cause large spike voltage. So i think this spike voltage cause EN pin damage. it's suggested to add a 0.1uF bypass cap from EN pin to GND to filter the spike voltage.

Hi Young Zhao
My ENA Max voltage is 8V
Min Voltage is 6.5V
My waveform when power ON and OFF are good
But whenever i insert my power supply connector Im getting a spike waveform in ENA pin which is tied to Buck converter .Attached the waveform .As result without pressing switch unit gets ON for some milliseconds and Then OFF
Hi ,
It should be the characteristics of the mechanical button .You can try a bypass capacitor to lower the spike affect, suggest to bypass a 1uf cap.
