BQ27541-G1: Does device support protection and permanent failure features?

 Hi support team!

Could you please explain whether bq27541 supports Safety Protection and Permanent Failure features like bq20XXX or bq40XXX Gas Gauges?

Have looked through the SLUS861 but could not find subject information. I am interested in the Cell UnderVoltage and Cell Overvoltage protection features and assosiated flags in case of those events.

    Hi Igor,

    The BQ27541 does not offer the same protection features as the BQ20xxx and BQ40xxx gauges. This device does not control FETs for protection. A separate protection IC can be used along with the BQ27541 as shown in the datasheet typical application image.
