Hi

The customer design the schematic and the function is normal, during charge the chip very hot then enter thermal protection.

Attached the schematic and PCB layout.

Please give some suggestions.

    Hi Star,

    The heat dissipation resulted from the power loss requires enough copper area. We recommend 4 layer board like the BQ24295 EVM to have good thermal performance. The layout guideline is on the datasheet page 43-44.
