TPS54360: Concerns in changing synchronized SW frequency

Part Number: TPS54360

Hello teams,

There is a description on the datasheet, "The device transitions from the resistor mode to the PLL mode and locks onto the external clock frequency within 78 microseconds."

Does the TPS54360 have transitions delay when changing the external clock frequency applied on the RT/CLK pin?

I have read a E2E article below, which said that "too fast the switching frequency doesn't frequency lock and will "chase" the input clock frequency. "

My customer is considering to switch external clock 1MHz +/- 50kHz with delay under 1ms. Is it possible?

Regards,
