TLC5955: Can I combine 48 to 3 channels to get 3 * 350mA?

Can I use TLC5955 to drive one RGB LED Cree XLamp MC-E? I need to smoothly change the brightness and color at the same time for a long time. I need 14 or more Bit PWM. And I only found this one. Maybe you have another more suitable IC for this?

Is it possible to combine channels in this way?

Hi Andrey,

We don't suggest to do this way. This may cause the unstable of the output because of the parasitic caps and inductance of the wires and pins.

what is the minimum pulse width you need?

the maximum GCLK frequency is 33MHz, that means this device only supports the minimum pulse 30ns.

Ok, Do you have a 14-16 bit PWM LED driver that can drive a single 350 mA RGB LED?

Hi Andrey,

If the minimum pulse is 10ns, with 14bit PWM, the frequency is 100MHz, and period is 6.1kHz, are you really want so high period?

currently, we have no device can support such kind of spec.
