TPS61500: Does this drive support the configuration in parallel "8s8p"?

Hi,

I`ve an application that requires drive up to 64 LEDs in constant current mode. I going to use a 12V source. The LED has the following parameters:

Foward voltage: 3.2V

Foward current: 150mA

Is TPS61500 suitable for the desing 8s8p?

Hi,

Yes, this device can support 8s8p. But, the current for each string will have a little different.

Is there any option to make the current string equal?

do you recommend "8s8p" configuration or use another chip?

Hi,

Multi channels device is a better choice for balanced forward current of every string. LP8555 has 12 channles and the output voltage is up to 28V.

LP8867, TPS61196 have 6 channels and each channel can support 14 LEDs/150mA.
