Dear Sirs,
We design a data logger which uses optional li-ion or li-po backup battery (for full system functionality). BQ24070 is fed by a switching DC-DC 5V/1A step down regulator (V7805-1000). We need to cut the battery supply to the system when battery goes below 3V, so as not to damage the battery. For this, the output of BQ24070 feeds a voltage supervisor IC with 1uA supply current which in turn drives a P-channel MOSFET gate for primary system supply rail.
1. How much current is drawn from the battery inside BQ24070 when battery is at 3V and system primary rail (BQ24070 output) is cut by MOSFET (the only load is the supervisor power supply current).
2. Please advice if there is any other alternative to BQ24070 with lower cost, featuring DPPM, bq24070 supply status, battery fail-not present.
Thank you very much
Regards,
