Lower 3.6V to 3.4V

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63000

Hello,

I have a Lithium battery 3.6V and I use a module who work only between 3V to 3.4V and consume 800mA max.

I'd like to lower the 3.6V to 3.4V.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

  • I assume that your battery voltage can vary up and down above 3.6V.  Usually, lithium batteries' voltage range in voltage from 3V to 4.2V over the discharge of the cell.  You need to confirm with your battery manufacturer if this is the case.  If not (if the battery is fixed at 3.6V), then an LDO is an excellent and simple choice to get from 3.6V to 3.4V.

If the battery voltage does vary, then our TPS63k series of devices are the best choice and were designed for this situation.  The TPS63000 meets your 800 mA requirement.
