UCC28951: Difference between UCC28950 & UCC28951

Dear TI team

Is there any difference between UCC28950 & UCC28951?

I have read the application report(SLUA853), it says UCC28951 is recommended when the duty cycle of the converter is greater than 90% and the peak current limit function.

Could you explain to me the reason for that?

Except for PSFB, is there a better solution for the specification of Vin:400V, Vo:12V, Po:3kW?

Hello

The UCC28951 is a newer device than the UCC28950 and it works better at large duty cycles while in current limit. It is a completely 100% drop in replacement for the UCC28950 and that is the reason it's recommended.

At 400Vin, 12Vout, 3kW - the PSFB is the best choice.

Is there any controller IC of PSFB or other converters that has the function of Power Good or fault signal for automotive application.

Or other solutions to support ISO26262 ASIL-B/D certification.

I'm afraid that neither the UCC28951 or the UCC28950 provide a 'power good' signal. You will need to generate this externally.
