BQ78PL116: Regarding Temperature measurement

Hi,

We are using BQ78PL116 for 4S1P battery pack configuration, I want to measure the temperature of each cell. I found from the data BQ78PL116 supports only diode based temperature measurement. Can I use NTC with the BQ78PL116? If not how can I use diode based sensor when the distance between the cells is high (conditions where I cant use PCB for temperature measurement) lets say for calb batteries.

The BQ78PL116 isn't designed to support thermistors, here is another thread regarding this:

I'm not sure I fully understand your second inquiry, you can use a breakout from the PCB to measure the temperature.
