Below is the circuit we are using. We have to control power ON/OFF to MC90 GSM modem chip through TPS22916. The load current on VBAT is 1.6A max. There is 470uF capacitor on load side. Will TPS22916 support for capacitor load of 470uF? Input power VBAT_3.8V is capable of supplying current 2.5A.

Hi Veeranarayana,

TPS22916 could support such a load but the inrush current is quite significant.

I would recommend to use the "C" version which has the slowest slew rate control to control the inrush current. This slow-slew version limits inrush to ~1.5A according to the estimation in section 9.1.1.2 (Detailed design procedure)
