Hello,
I am working on a 28 Cell, with two daisy-chained BQ76PL455, battery management system. The upper BQ76PL455 fails when connecting the cells in order, lowest voltage to highest. Is this the correct way to connect cells?
I have followed all of the design recommendations, including 90V TVS diode and 6.2V TVS diodes across cells. The only issue I can think of is that some current is being back fed through the upper BQ76PL455 to power a buck converter connected between cell 28 and ground. However, I would expect the TVS diodes to prevent this current from damaging the BQ76PL455. Would it be better to connect the to lowest cell and highest cell first to prevent any back feeding?
Thanks
