I have been following SLUA848 for running the learning cycle, and have managed to complete this twice now (once with a 4s1p configuration, and then with a 4s9p). I'm trying to understand a couple of things about it:
1) I have a new version of our BMS than last time - layout is significantly different, and I suspect that the resistance for the main current path will be different as well. Am I correct in that I should I re-run the learning cycle for this new version of the pack? (still 4s9p with the same cells)
2) Ok, if I do re-run the learning cycle, I've already loaded the golden image file from before (which includes the cell chemistry as well as the configuration, right?). Are there any additional steps that I should do to re-run it? What do I do to reset LStatus (Gas Gauging->State->Update Status) to 0x04? I found that the second time I ran the learning cycle I had to manually write in 0x4 to the register, as running the procedure didn't reset it to 0x4. Was this ok, or is there a different procedure that I should be following?
Thanks!
