LM34936-Q1: LM34936-Q1 operation built in CVCC control?

Part Number: LM34936-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM34936

Dear TI

I search 4sw buckboost device from power source(solar, generator 12v) to Li battery 12v.

i want to develop a analog control (standalone) devices.

I am reviewing the lm34936 datasheet. If I review this device DRM, I think it can be used for battery charging. Is it possible to set cvcc operation as an Passive deviced hardware setup?

Best,

choi

  • Hello Choi,

The LM34936 seem to be a good choice for your application. Please share your current needs on the application.

I am sorry, but I do not understand what you want to do with cvcc operation. Please help me to understand your question.

  • Dear TI

I want to know Single Chip solution (or Simple Solution) for Battery Charging in TI Devices.

if i develop it by TI DSP solution, so..it is expensive and large circuit.

Customer want to small(not smaller, smallest) size and simple solution , because it is for specific Car Battery system.

    Best,

    Choi

  • Hello Choi,

It should be possible to use the average output current limiting feature for constant current charging and use the resistor divider for the constant voltage setting. Please keep in mind that the constant output current limiting feature is checking the average current, not the peak current. In addition, please check if the accuracy fits the needs of your battery.

I personally did not try this up to now.

I will forward your request as well to the battery charger team that might have a dedicated battery charge IC for your application.

  • Hi Choi,

I will private message you to get more details.
