    What will be your input voltage? 5V

    What will be your charge voltage? 8.4V

    What will be your charge current? 1~2A should be OK.

    Do you require cell balancing? Both would be OK.

    Will this application be host controlled or standalone? Both would be OK.

    Hi Will,

    You can consider BQ25883 or BQ25887 (with integrated cell balancing) for your application. Both these chargers have integrated ADC to monitor the battery voltage, which could help you roughly estimate capacity of battery based on battery voltage, but a fuel gauge is highly recommended to indicate the battery capacity (SOC and SOH) accurately taking in consideration dynamic load.
