In the PCB Thermal Calculator Software Diagram what means "Minimum Thermal PCB" and "Enhanced Thermal PCB"?
Can you give the examples these PCBs?

Hello Alex,
Thanks for reaching out.
Can you please clarify which thermal calculator software you are referring to? Which driver IC does the file refer to?

Alex,
Here is the minimum and enhanced thermal PCB definitions.
Enhanced Thermal = single thermal spreading plane of 1 oz Cu
Minimum Thermal = single thermal spreading plane of 1/2 oz Cu
You can find more information in the below application note - "Using Thermal Calculation Tools for Analog Components" https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua566a/slua566a.pdf

Hi,
Thanks a lot for info. I have to make thermal calculation for the TPS7A88 ( WQFN-20) and LM61460 ( VQFN-HR -14) but couldn't find these packages in the PCB Thermal Calculator Software device list. Can you assist?
Hi Alex,
I can confirm we do not have these devices in the PCB thermal calculator software. You can check the datasheet and EVM to find the thermal coefficient value to help with approximate thermal calculations.
If you need further help, can you please initiate separate threads for each of the devices - so that it will be routed to the right product support team who can provide you more information.

Srikanth Pam
